Not to sound TOO altruistic or anything.

That diary definitely had its fair share of crush confessions, terrible poems, cheesy book reviews and requests for autographs from that month’s cover athlete of Sports Illustrated. (Once a sports fan, always a sports fan!)

Yet these daily diary entries can tell you two important things about me: I’ve always been a writer, and I’ve always been a helper.

So working in nonprofit communications has been a natural fit.

After graduating Creighton (go Jays!) with a BA in Journalism and Public Relations, I worked for various organizations around Omaha.

It’s wild to believe I’ve now spent the past 19 years using my Gallup Strengths of Strategic, Maximizer, Learner, Achiever and Input to help local orgs share their stories with the world… or at least with the good folks of Nebraska and Iowa.
